Hey all
Loads to tell you :-)
As you can imagine, its been busy busy busy here, not only have I got college assignments to finish, my help on the community garden near me is needed, I started a new job (YAY!) and of course the plot has stopped me from posting as soon as I wanted to.
My sister has really been bitten by the bug and now wants her own plot, which will be great, as I feel like Im running out of room already!
We've worked really hard getting rid of the sheds, and are starting to get beds in. We also managed to get hold of a tiny weeny kids shed thatll do for the tools for now and we got a great fence with lockable gates (sadly needed on our site due to theft and vandalism), and got rid of most of the rubbish

The first day!
Cant summon up much energy to write much tonight! My mind is ticking but my body is weary :-). I was up at 6am getting college work done in peace, then did a straight 9 hours on the plot with only a cheese butty and a bottle of pop.
Myself, Odette, Nozzy, Odettes boyfriend Sean and Chris all went today and we got some real work done. We demolished the largest shed, weeded for england, and ripped out the fence splitting the plot in two.
There are two sheds to be demolished, bindweed, mares tail and docks galore, fences to put up, a gate to put up, a new shed to be collected and put up, compost bins to sort, raised beds to make...the list is endless!
But its GREAT!!! We cant stop smiling!
First day pics.....I cant believe the difference!

Hello
Im Paula and along with my partner Chris, am about to embark on an allotment. I have become more and more interested in gardening and, eventually, growing veg since I moved in with Chris, and had a garden at my disposal for the first time. I started growing veg in containers, but it doesnt feed my family of four! And sure doesnt involve enough work to keep me occupied! So....a plot was the next step. Im so excited I cant believe it...I could easily become obsessed! (.....son asks "Become????") I gave a lot of thought to the organic aspect, and have decided no weedkillers, BUT slugs beware!! I will pellet you! My veg are for me and not you :-)
My sister Odette and our good friend Nozzy also want a bed each, so we'll have company along the way too!
Ill keep everyone updated
